In an interview with the media outlet "Meet the Press," US Secretary of Defense and former CIA Director Leon Panetta admitted that torture played a minor role in gathering intelligence in the hunt for Osama bin Laden.
Many critics of torture techniques claim that these inhumane interrogation methods only lead to false information and are of no use to fighting the war on terror.
