Authorities are still unsure why Albany mother Aydrea Meaders decided to take off her clothes during a school assembly, but she is reportedly facing child endangerment and lewdness charges.
"It had been going as a terrific event.
The cafeteria was full.
We probably had about 200 students in there from throughout the school," Ron Lesko of the Albany School District began.
Then, for some reason, Meaders decided to join the children who were dancing onstage.
"[It] wasn't an expected part of the routine, but she wasn't doing anything inappropriate," Lesko continued.
"[Then] suddenly she stepped to the front of the group, threw off her coat, and stripped from the waist up."
School officials and parents rushed the stage within seconds, reports indicate, attempting to shield the children from the sight.
