North Korea: US Tourists Arrive On Cruise Ship - None Imprisoned So Far..
The first cruise passengers arrive in North Korea, many from the USA, amidst great excitement.
Travelling on the former ferry "Royale Star", they visited Rason and Mt.
Kumgang, which is a 1,638 metres-high mountain in Kangwon-do, North Korea.
It is one of the best-known mountains in North Korea.
The luxury cruise ship is expected to visit North Korea 26 times a year, and bring approximately 13,000 new American tourists to the country.
Tours of North Korea will be approx $25 extra per person and will include most food and a tour of the capital, Pyongyang, and the Kaesong Children's Prison (adults only - children will be shown the nearby adult women's prison, but will not be shown the death row).
From 2019, it is hoped to add a visit to the zoo, once the unicorns have been fully tamed.
It will not be possible to speak with Kim Il Sung.
As the stay is only for 2 or 3 days, weather, imprisonment and tides dependent, no visas will be required.
