Chris Faraone, a 34-year-old journalist filed a lawsuit recently against New York City, the New York Police Department and ten individual police officers.
In the suit, the reporter claims that, while covering the Occupy Wall Street anniversary protest in 2012, he was detained, beaten, searched and arrested without probable cause, even after he repeatedly identified himself as a journalist.
Police charged Faraone with disorderly conduct, but those charges were eventually dropped.
RT's Meghan Lopez takes a closer look at the allegations in Faraone's lawsuit.
