The National Association of Police Organizations is lobbying in Washington to change an amendment to the Driver's Privacy Protection Act because they are unhappy about fines and regulations imposed over how police can and cannot access people's personal DMV information.
The amendment is there to protect people from the police improperly accessing their information.
Such was the case recently in Florida, after a cop pulled another cop over for speeding.
