A new report suggests that the FBI formed an alliance with US forces in Afghanistan and Iraq and participated in hundreds of operations there.
According to a report by The Washington Post, FBI's Hostage Rescue Team conducted hundreds of raids in the Middle East with the Joint Special Operations Command.
FBI was using digital media to identify suspects, and gather intelligence and evidence on them-- keeping that information in the event that suspects would be put on trial in the US.
The agents also participated directly in firefights as the raids unfolded.
No FBI agents were killed in those raids, but some were wounded.
