A US drone strike has left nearly 20 people dead in central Yemen.
Security sources says the attack-- carried out in Bayda province, killed 15 al-Qaeda militants and 3 civilians.
15 others sustained injuries.
The US military claims its drone strikes in Yemen target militants.
But reports on the ground suggest that civilians frequently fall prey to the air raids.
According to the United Nations 16 civilians lost their lives and 10 others were wounded when two separate wedding processions were targeted in December.
Following the deaths, Yemen's parliament voted for a ban on drone strikes, but analysts say lawmakers are unlikely to be able to halt the US air raids.
