An Egyptian court has sentenced 11 supporters of toppled president Mohammed Morsi to up to 88 years in jail.
Five of those sentenced by the court in the southern city of Minya were tried in absentia.
The 11 men are sentenced to charges that include violating a protest law and assaulting police.
The ruling is one of several cases against members of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood party and supporters of ousted president Morsi who was toppled last July.
His supporters have staged demonstrations on a daily basis since then despite a harsh government crackdown.
