Anniston, Alabama, is one sick town.
Not only did everyone's favorite chemical company, Monsanto, spew toxic PCBs into their groundwater and air for decades under the protection of the government, but their Fort McClellan army base was the site of chemical and biological weapons training and testing that has left thousands of soldiers extremely sick.
Now, the soldiers are trying to get legislation passed that would at least mandate that the federal government create a registry of soldiers who went through the base to track toxicity and also to help veterans get the benefits they deserve.
But the government isn't so keen on the initiative.
