With less than a month to go before the kickoff of the FIFA World Cup, Brazilian authorities have been advised to beef up steps to prevent an outbreak of dengue fever.
Scientists have warned that three of the Brazilian host cities are at higher risk of a dengue fever outbreak than the other nine.
According to an early warning system, the risk is low in all Cup venues, but comparatively greater in Fortaleza, Natal and Recife.
Dengue fever is transmitted by a certain type of mosquito and there's no vaccine for it.
The disease is endemic in Brazil, which is expected to lure hundreds of thousands of football visitors.
