A majority of Americans blame the recent surge of violence in Iraq on former U-S President George W.
Bush.
According to a Quinnipiac University poll, more than 51 percent of the registered voters blamed the Bush-era foreign policies for the current turmoil in Iraq.
Sixty-one percent of those polled said the 2003 war in Iraq was the wrong thing to do.
A majority of voters also disapprove of the way President Barack Obama is handling the bloodshed perpetrated by ISIL Takfiri terrorists in Iraq.
Fifty-eight percent of the voters said Obama's decision to withdraw American forces from Iraq in 20-11 was the right decision.
However, they warned against any fresh troop deployment, saying it's not in the best U-S interest to get involved in Iraq again.
