Venezuela has sent 12 tones of humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip which has been under Israeli military offensive for more than a month now.
The aid consists of medicine, clothes, food, and medical equipment including wheelchairs and hospital beds.
Venezuela's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elias Jaua, has announced that a humanitarian delegation from Caracas will travel to Gaza to provide medical assistance to the injured.
Just weeks ago, Venezuela signed an oil agreement to help Palestine improve their energy resources.
The Palestinian Foreign Minister, who was also present at the event, thanked Venezuela for its unconditional help to the people of Palestine.
The Venezuelan government plans to sand more humanitarian aid to the impoverish people in Gaza.
Nearly 2,000 Palestinians have lost their lives and many more injured since Israel began its onslaught on the coastal enclave in July 8th.
Most of the victims were women and children.
Many Venezuelans are hoping the ongoing diplomatic and humanitarian efforts from Venezuela will help Palestinians to cope with Israeli aggression.
