Israeli forces have given eviction orders to Palestinians living in a valley in the occupied West Bank to confiscate 200 hectares of Palestinian land.
Palestinian officials say the residents in Wad Ben Zeid in southern Hebron, al-Khalil, have been ordered to leave the area immediately because their homes will be demolished.
Officials say the Palestinian-owned land which also include agricultural fields will be grabbed for the expansion of settlements.
The move comes less than a week after Israel announced its plan to seize 400 hectares of land from Palestinian families in Bethlehem.
The announcement drew worldwide condemnation.
Even Tel Aviv’s close allies, the United States and the European Union, have called for the cancelation of the plan which they regard as an obstacle to peace with Palestinians.
