With the Jeddah Communiqué, the US just enlisted, among other Middle Eastern governments, Saudi Arabia's support for their war on ISIS.
The Saudis will provide bases to train and arm "moderate" rebel groups in the region.
The US' war on ISIS was sparked by the beheading of two Americans, so the US making Saudi Arabia its partner to fight them falls squarely into the category of ironic.
