Highway Patrol Officer Sean Grobert pulled over Levar Edward Jones for a seat-belt violation in a parking lot, the crime also known as 'driving while black.' He asked Jones to produce his license, and when he complied, the officer shot at him four times, hitting him once in the hip.
2 of the shots were fired while Jones' hands were in the air in the surrender position.
The case is part of a larger string of recent incidents, exposing the troublesome, often racist culture amongst US police departments.
