Banks have been paying employees to leave the bank and go work for the government for a long time.
Now, the AFL-CIO, a coalition of labor unions in the US, have filed a shareholder proposal forcing banks to disclose who they give these payments to and how much money is at stake, effectively exposing the spies the banks have placed within the government.
Of course, the banks are fighting back.
