US Secretary of State John Kerry has expressed concern about the viability of the Palestinian Authority with Israel refusing to unfreeze Palestinians’ tax money.
Israel blocked more than 100 million dollars in January in response to the PA’s move to join the International Criminal Court.
Being a member of the tribunal enables Palestinians to take legal action against Israeli crimes in the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
The US has already said that Israel’s retaliatory move could further escalate tensions.
The funds are vital for running the Palestinian Authority and for paying civil servants’ salaries.
