    In 2005, Congress enacted the Energy Policy Act, complete with what's known as the Halliburton Loophole.

    The loophole excuses fracking companies from federal regulations like disclosing what chemicals they inject into the planet and obtaining certain permits.

    The Senate just now voted down a bill that would have repealed that loophole, because of COURSE they did.
