Palestinians have formally become a member of the International Criminal Court, the ICC, with the aim of suing Israel for war crimes.
ICC officials say as of April first, the tribunal can probe and prosecute alleged war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem al-Quds.
Despite pressure from Israel, the court has already opened a preliminary examination into atrocities committed against Palestinians.
A new report by the International Federation for Human Rights has accused Israel of war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
The Paris-based rights group sheds light on how Israeli forces indiscriminately attacked civilians during last summer's war on the Gaza Strip.
The 50-day Israeli onslaught left over 22-hundred Palestinians dead.
