Scuffles broke out between protesters and police in London, Friday, after thousands of people took to the streets to celebrate International Workers’ Day, known in the UK as Labour Day.
Protesters chanted slogans against the police, waved communist and socialist flags and marched with banners reading "Fuck the police", "We must devastate the avenues where the wealthy live" and "Rise Riot Revolt".
The rally, organised mainly by trade unions and other London-based workers’ communities, started from Clerkenwell Green and is expected to finish on Trafalgar Square.
