Republican candidates are being told by people like Stephen Moore from the Wall Street Journal and the Heritage Foundation that we need to raise taxes on the poor in order to lower the taxes on the top earners in this country.
This is the same policy that happened under the Bush administration, and it helped lead us into an era of rampant income inequality.
