Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton debated US involvement in the Middle East, among other issues with her biggest rival in the party, Senator Bernie Sanders, as they opened the first Democratic presidential debate on Tuesday.
Clinton and Sanders also clashed on gun control and economic policy.
